For maths we have been working on our basic facts. Everyday we do a maths grid basic facts.

Procedure Writing

We have been learning to write a Procedure. I know a Procedure has to have a title, materials, ingredients and steps .  My steps have to be clear, in order and start with a verb.  

Addition and Subtraction Problems

 We have been learning to solve addition and subtraction problems using place value. We had to complete these problems using this strategy.  I feel good that I can use this strategy.

My Speech

My speech topic is Bullying.  I chose this topic because it is happening more often.  When I presented my speech I felt good.  What I did well was saying it out.  What I could have done better was more eye contact.

Did you know Bullying is happening more and more often, all over the world? 

Bullying is when mean people do bad things, over and over again to the same innocent people. Bullies do bad things such as hitting, calling names, leaving others out of games and  cyber bullying.  Bullying makes people sad and they may not want to go to school and other places.  Bullying affects people and their family. I believe that bullying is bad and here are my three reasons why. 

Firstly, one type of bullying is saying mean things to people to hurt their feelings, it makes them scared and feel down. Bullies won't get far in life because they won’t have friends because they are mean to heaps of people. 

Cyber bullying is another type of bullying. Cyber bullies are bad people, doing bad things to good people online, which is on their phone and on other devices. They send nasty messages on their devices or put them on social media. They can attack people online and make them feel terrible. 

Finally, physical bullying can really hurt people and affect the person's family. It is very bad doing this stuff. Some people can get punched and kicked too. It hurts them physically it can hurt on the inside and the outside

I strongly believe bullying is bad! If we did not have bullies in the world everybody would be happier.
